Giant red shoes extra

King Gee make some great, sturdy work clothing that (normally) fits very nicely, so I was confident these would be a safe purchase.
Usually, a 40 is either a perfect fit or slightly loose on me (depending on cut), but in pants that don't stretch I go up a size, particularly when I know they'll be worn in an environment that requires some movement and exertion. Just for the extra room.
So, I unpacked my new 42" King Gee pants - they looked good and sturdy, just what I was after.
And then I put them on... And please bear in mind, I'm actually fairly normally proportioned.
I don't know what model was used for these, but it wasn't human. Despite being a size larger than normal, the waistband was still uncomfortably tight. The crotch hangs at about knee-height, unless said waistband is pulled up to somewhere approaching the nipple region. The legs are ridiculously long, and I could almost fit both of mine in one side.
The pockets are roomy enough, though I was somewhat disappointed to not find a complimentary water-squirt flower in them.
If anyone knows the Cirque-de-So Lame costumers, give them a shout out; they could just buy these things and save a bomb on custom work. They can have mine, in fact - I won't be wearing them.
I give these one star, and that's only because the permanent-press crease looks like it'll stay nice and sharp while these are sitting bagged up in the Vinnies bin.
